Best part of playing Tinkers

The best part of not playing the Tinkers is that when you invade their planets they never revolt, so you don't waste your mechs

Yeah they are slaver, but also make best slaves.

They do become weaker as "Disconnected Tinkers" because they lose a production bonus but keep their terrible research. They still don't need food, though, so that is a huge plus. With their terrible pop growth, just terraform a Hive world for them and ship them all off there. Make it a suplimental shipyard since you can put a lot of factories on a planet with no farms or markets. I use my Tinker Hive for building troop transports late game. I imagine they make natural (though uninspired) Mech pilots.
