The way to cheat is to hook yourself into the (relatively poorly documented and incomplete) 'modder' features.
http://stars-in-shadow.com/modding.html
You can skip the 'visual studio' setup section, and just jump right to the 'Setting Up SiS' section, which explains how to get into your 'developer options'. These options include, but are certainly not limited to, a few cheat commands.
If people are interested in doing more than simply unlocking cheats -- let me know, and I'll see about improving the documentation on the 'modding' page. First on the list of useful changes, I think, would be to update the live coding hooks to work with a more modern version of VS.
P.S. I'm already seeing a 10-dread-star fleet! Mwahahaha!
P. P. S. I won't use cheats to easily get achievements like build 6 dread stars in 1 game, but sorry if I get any of them with these cheats accidentally.
so do an exact search, but change 4 byte to double.
then it works like tracking any other value in any other game.
The Developers Options menu is enabled by placing an empty text file named "show_hidden_options.bool" in your /Stars in Shadow/ directory. Restart the game. The menu is accessed by clicking on the "Options" title text in the options menu.
Thanks for reply, but it's still don't work :(
