I normally will only play M + KB and am a bit of a M + KB fanboy - but I'm not sure how mouse would work in a game like this. You need two analogue controllers, one for footwork/positioning - the other for the shot itself. Digital for either wouldn't work. I guess you could do a control method with 2 mice? Or a mouse and a trackpad?
I plugged by 360 controller in (now 10 years old and with a wire) and that works really well. Worth asking or experimenting though, I'd love to know if it was possible but as you need two independent analogue inputs both with graded 360 degree movement I'm struggling to think of anything better than a dual analogue joypad.
I played all the old EA and codemasters games back in the day that did sometimes allow KB input, and (just IMO) this game is much better for getting rid of that style of play. It was too easy and too unrealistic. Just "press the button at the right time" - like a flash minigame. I enjoy the controls of DB games much more. Now if only the physics of fielding and bowling could be improved and the meta game smoothed it would be a 5 star game. As it is it's 3 and a half stars from me.
