Damn Lockpicking Puzzle...

I'm giving up on this because of the lockpicking puzzle. THe walkthroughs are a pain and youtube only has one video (or rather three part videos where he STILL fails to finish the puzzle). Anyone got a save file that's just after the puzzle.

That puzzle is very difficult and has given many people trouble, so you shouldn't feel bad about having problems and it is totaly understandable to be frustrated with it.

I played this game over 5 years ago, so I do not have a saved file. However, I believe there are some walkthroughs that may help you.

Try solving the puzzle with either of the 2 walkthroughs at this website:

At the website click on "WALKTHROUGHS" on the left side of the page.
Then click on "S" along the alphabet index across the middle of the page.
Scroll down to find the "Still Life" listing and click on one of the two walkthroughs.
These walkthroughs are detailed enough that you should be able to solve the puzzle.

You may want to print out the solution to the puzzle so you do not have to go between the website and the game.

I too am having problems. I COULD look at a solution but then the game would be ruined for me since I had to cheat. Damn puzzle!... :(

Yeah that puzzle definitely kills the momentum of the game, but you just have to grit your teeth and keep minimizing to watch a walkthrough.

Finally got back to this game. This walkthrough made it rather easy (http://www.gameboomers.com/wtcheats/pcSs/stilllife.htm). Just copy the link into the steam browser while playing and it moves reasonaly smoothly. Seriously, who would think of hitting the same one that many times!?

- Left click on one, right click.
- Left Click 10; rightclick.
- Left click 2, right click.
- Left click on 3, then 4, right.
- Left Click 12; rightclick.
- Left click on 5, right click.
- Left click on 6, then 4, right click.
- Left click on 14, then 12, right click.
- Left Click 14; rightclick.
- Left click on 7, then 4, then 15, right click.
- Left click on 4, right click.
- Left click on 6, then 6, then 14, right click.
- Left click on 7, right click.
- Left click on 13, then 13, right click.
- Left click on 6, then 6, then 8, right click.
- Finally, click Left stick 9.

That's not particularly helpful without a key to say which is which but it looks like it's 1-9 left to right across the top and 10 onwards across the bottom.

I've played a helluva lot of point n click games, I've always found that the european adventures had the most obtuse puzzles but this lockpicking puzzle is the toughest I have come across - thank god for internet walkthroughs. good game.

I found the puzzle too be really fun and challenging, oh hell yeah. I just wish someone had the decency to have a quick undo feature in solving those puzzles. It would have made the whole experience a hundred times less frustrating.

That walkthrough made it easy enough, but I certianly wouldn't have solved it without it Never would have thought to undo previous bits.

I had no idea how to do the lockpicking, wouldnt have made it through without the walkthrough, even then didnt understand what the hell i was doing other than following instructions

Hmm, I somehow made it through the puzzle. Pure luck and perseverance do work apparently.

It's definitely the hardest puzzle in the game. I have great trouble with it too.
