Having trouble removing items from inventory

I am at the junkyard and need to remove the cutters from the inventory. Whenever I click on them everything in the inventory is selected and I cannot get them out to use them. Any suggestions?

Try earlier save or start game from the beginning (that's almost beginning anyway) -- that's only way I found. I think bug is in when you're trying to interact with kit before complete a task.

I can't even pick the danm things up! I think it may have been because I solved the puzzle first and messed up the game dev's funky flow. So now I have to go through the treasure box hell all over again. I will create a save now where I am but I guess I'll just start from the begining.

I thought I couldn't pick them up either, but turns out there's TWO bolt cutters in the same area and the larger more noticeable ones are NOT the ones to pick up, go figure
