Windowed Mode

No matter what I try, Still Life will not run windowed. It's infuriating me!

Alt+Tab then in a few seconds select game again and it may make game run in window mode. It worked for me on windows 10. A most lazy solution that might work for you too, the other solution is in a second post.

Download a software solution.

Download DXWnd program. Unzip and drop unzipped folder into your game folder. Launch Dxwnd.exe from this dropped folder.
On a white space click right mouse button and select ADD option.
in NAME type any name you like. Under PATH & LAUNCH select your game folder and select GAME.EXE in both instances.
Check: Early hook, Run in Window, Terminate on window close, Keep Aspect Ration, Force Windowing. (everything else must be unchecked)
Under window initial position & Size CHANGE ONLY: W to 800 and H to 600. Select Desktop Center.

Press OK. in FILE press SAVE, confirm YES. Try launching the game from STEAM.

EVERY TIME you want to play DXwnd MUST be launched, you don't need to do anything extra.
