Can't leave an area

I seem to have encountered some kind of bug in the game. I'm in the first flashback with Gus, after he talks to the cop, the hooker, and his girlfriend. For whatever reason, I can't leave this area to go on to the rest of the game. A travel icon appears by the car, but whenever I click on it, Gus runs behind the car, and that's it. Has anyone else had the same problem?

try loading an earlier save. if you dont have one then google for some theres some online

Having the same issue, and can't find a solution. Did you find one in the end?

I managed to get past this very same bug by going into the options and switching the control type to the Keyboard. As soon as I exited the menu, the map popped up properly and the game progressed. Good luck!
