However, I suggest that periodic position saves be made while playing Sybetia 3 so you can restart without losing too much time, if needed. There is only one save file but, as in SyberiaTWB, many can be made but it must be done outside the game. For Syberia and Syberia 2 the Save/Load works within the game.
I wasn't bothered by the audio in Syberia 3 but there are some fixes available to smooth out the audio in Syberia and Syberia 2. (Look in Discussions. I used the D3D8 solution fro Github.)
In Syberia 3 it did take some time to get used to moving Kate around. One hint is this. While moving Kate around sometimes she must be moved to a spot farther or different than wanted just to get a camera view to change so the real destination can be reached. I played with the mouse, point and click.
I rate the story/plot of Syberia 3 as OK but it's not as good as TWB but it kept me interested to the end. The puzzles are not difficult except for one where mouse agility and timing come into play. Having a save point just before that is a wise thing to do.
There are many resources on the Steam site for Syberia 3 and SyberiaTWB, in the Discussions and Guides. You might check the titles just to see what's there, in case you might need some help. Some like to play with little or no help to enjoy exploring while others may need a bit more. Fortunately the player has the risk/reward choice on how they want to play. I'm not a hardcore gamer so I had to play with a walkthrough at first.
In Syberia 3 there are achievements to gain but some are pretty far out of the main stream of the game that I gave up trying to get them all. (I did get them all for SyberiaTWB). There are no achievements in Syberia or Syberia 2.
Syberia and Syberia 2 go together and are lower resolution point and click games with a well understood overall story and several sub-storys to advance the main plot. I think they are fun and interesting to play. (Again, I used a text walkthrough to get through).
The Syberia series is not for everyone but has been enjoyed by many. Perhaps you will enjoy them too.
Happy Syberia Gaming!
UPD: Never liked 1&2 that much. Haven't touched the third, because everyone's been saying how horrible it is. IMHO, it's the best out of three. So far, at least.
