Report a translation problem
If fiddling with either of those doesn't fix the issue for you, you may want to verify the integrity of your game files through Steam by right clicking Syberia 3 then selecting Properties. Once there click the tab Local Files and click the button for Verify Integrity of Game Files....
Unfortunately, while the localization was obviously pretty lazy overall - they did seem to make a lame attempt to 'fix' the lip sync for some specific dialogue that obviously didn't line up as well with the English lines. But I'd say it looks quite good 95% of the time with French. (They didn't make any effort to change it for the vast majority of the dialogue.)
I haven't made it through the game yet but even the subtitles have some real room for improvement apparently. I've seen several comments that they use the French term 'bridge' to mean the deck of the ship but translate it directly as 'bridge' which is confusing in most other languages.
