FPS games don't do that any more so the game aged poorly in that regard. This was also the primary source of negative Steam reviews back when Chrome had a Steam page. Everyone's used to snappy instant accelaratiom movement these days. Maybe except the milsim people.
It aalows me to impose a frame limit on the game.
It apperas that you are right. The slidy movement is caused by higj framerate. Imposing a cap fixes it.
