get rid of candy cane skin?

i've put a few hours into the game and the skin for the melee weapons being candy canes has gotten pretty old, is there anyway to turn them off? i checked in the video and gameplay options but cant find anything about it

I've reloaded and redownloaded the game but there is no bell icon or anything indicating a christmas theme option so I think my game might just be bugged. Thanks though
