I'm better with the starting mele weapon than the guns.
I have found that I am way better at just dashing round braining people with the pipe, then messing around trying to shoot stuff.

I am playing the game with mouse and keyboard as I feel this is probably optimal for this game. Thing is I don't playe a ton of shooters, so my aiming isn't even amazing with a mouse tbh.

I tend to switch to a gun to fight a boss, but when fighting crowds of people I just dash around and then do special kills when I can to get health back and stuff.

Do you guys think that the dash should have i-frames, or is the dash as intended for the best part?

Just looking to talk about the game and what your prefered methods of combat and weapons are, and at the same time hopefully pick up some tips on the game while I'm here.

I got to the 3rd boss during my first run, then checked out as lost about 5 times in a row and needed a change of pace. I think I was trying to mele him down though, and my ranged weapon was a flame thrower so wasn't that great for that fight. maybe I need to change my ranged weapon and fight him that way, as mele just wasn't working. I did get him within a couple of hits, but then choked and bit the bullet..... any tips for fighting this guy?

I felt the same way when I first started the game.

It takes a bit of time to really get into the flow of the game.
Even if you're surviving and progressing just fine, you'll be amazed how much your play style will change once you really get a grasp on the movement, abilities, and how different enemies act.

I would say I still prefer melee weapons, but I definitely use ranged weapons a lot more than I did when I first started playing.
They all have advantages and disadvantages in different situations.
