RUINER
Some questions.
How is the storyline? I am not really into grey area choices and all that stuff people seem to be addicted to these days, and I do not need twists and turns for a good story im more of a classic story kind of guy good vs evil.

I am a huge fan of combat games like metal gear rising, dmc, and bayonetta, I also love action rpgs like diablo 3 this seems like its kind of a mix of those or am I wrong? What would you compare this to?

How is the leveling system?

Length and replay?

Is there a tone down the blood option at all? Seems like one of those games where gore is over the top to be edgy.

Thanks everyone!

It's a very grey story, not because you're forced to make questionable decisions, but you play as a man who's out to save his brother at any costs. Whatever grisly content there is, is not portrayed in a dark fashion -- all gore is over the top and comical.

If you're looking for something like Diablo 3, you're in the right place. RUINER de-emphasizes the RPG elements of Diablo and focuses on building abilities rather than passive things like damage done, though you can upgrade those things if you want to.

The leveling system is simple but fluid and encourages experimentation, but once you max out your favorite abilities you can beat the game with them and you can only upgrade them so much.

There is no option to tone down the gore to my knowledge, but it's more like a stylistic choice rather than trying to impress teenagers with the blood. Once you see South Rengkok's wonderful atmosphere you'll know Raikon didn't make this game for cheap shocks.

Dont worry there is no big decisions in this game it's combat most of the time with story that is all. If you choose speedrun mode game even skips all the story (cutscenes) and it's just pure combat.

Well the game is action rpg but like metal gear rising, dmc, and bayonetta I dont think so but that is just my opinion. It looks similar to diablo but there is no acual permenent gear (with out grind thank you god) but I whud compare it to hotline miami game.

Leveling system is really simple. Just put points in to skills you want when you lvl up and if you want to put points some where else you can respec any time any where.

Well game is not long. I know you can speed run it in a 1h I think there are even a rewards for that in speedrun mode. But I replaed it about 5 times alredy lol so replayability depends on how much you basically like the game.

Hmmm well there is blood when you kill enemys but its not that much gore in the game well at least for me lol and there is no opsion that I know to turn it off.

Any way hope this helps little bit and sorry for my bad english.

You say the story is a bit of a grey area but are those guys innocent your fighting?
Morghy Jan 1, 2018 @ 11:41am
No they are not innocent.
Basically there are no good or evil characters. Your character is throw in to a world where people do things to survive and they are not good all the time. So basically it's like real world.
Well at least that is how I see world in RUINER game.

I think I get what your saying but I do not get it when people say real world there are tons of people who are fairly 1 dimensional and are just good people.

Most of the bad people are soulless and only seem with one intent- to end you. Some are given decent backstory, and you can learn a little about what makes them human, or what makes them different. Whether it be that they are untrained alley-way punks or highly trained assassins, you can see it in their fighting style and it makes a difference. But you dont get many choices in the game if any, so just go through this guys life and see how everythig goes. Worst-case-scenario, you just return it.

Well take it as you want but always remember every coin comes with two different sides and the same goes for the people.
So depends on situation people are thrown into they can do "good or evil" but you will never know which one will they choose until it happens. And that is the real world.
lol sorry went litle bit off track here XD

Any way my opinion is the game is good. Short but good and devs probably have plan for DLC for more extra content so you could buy it now or w8 for DLC watch some review if its good and if it adds more length or replay content and then buy it.

Well some people yes but that is because thats how society raised them it does not mean people are bound that way, I know lots of people who are thrown into bad situations and still come out good, I also happen to know myself so I can speak for myself from my own experiences as well. And np I enjoyed it but in truth many claim the grey area stuff is realistic but it really is not, and lets be honest here you see most of these from the media which is the news which lies most of the time, or entertainment, almost every tv show now is grey this is where people get most of their information and that is fantasy.

Wow thanks for the link.
