Entering enemy's undergrowth + view of plants amount left

So in mission 3.1 (hell, but a great refreshment of a mission), I somehow noticed that. I could send my ants to the enemy's ant colony. Is there any way on the controller, to see what is happening there? There were no options and I think i could've destroyed the queen with my sheer numbers, but my ants were below the ground while I saw nothing, then they came back to the upper ground and after a while a hole enemy swarm emerged from below.

What is the deal with this feature?

I'd also like to request a way, on the controller, to see how much of the plant is left to be taken. With mouse/keyboard I can see this, but that's not the setup.

Back to the enemy colony:
Fortunately I see 1 and 2 and can switch between them

Unfortunately, 1 is my own colony underground and 2 is the world above, even when entered the enemy colony, a "3" is not appearing.
Even when my dear ants have invaded the enemy colony and I use tab or whatever to switch between the 1 and 2, I'm not getting the enemy underground view

edit 2: I can get there when I press the: go to battle, just, 0 explaining during the tutorials :*(

Edit:
In mission 3.2, when the enemy, for example the Praying Mantis, attacks the ants, the red bar that fills, doesn't go lower..
Isn't that unfair my dear sir?
