while it would be more easier to implement since they form bivouacs underground sadly we arent getting them.
It would definitely be cool
They may well find themselves in an ereptor colony at some point in the future, in an extra level or suchlike.
or else I will delete the game
They'll probably find themselves in a ereptor colony at some point though, we know they have brood tiles in the code thanks to the Great Liam Leak back when the Fire Ant demo was still being made.
Beating The Other Foot on any difficulty rewards players with the counterpart colony (army ants, slave-maker ants, and trapjaw ants) for freeplay.
I know the Other Foot grants those ants, but they're not a "complete/full" colony per say, it's referring to a colony of only the respective species (IE only Trapjaws, only Army Ants, etc.)
Now, even the Story, of course is not realistic, but I definitely understand not being playable like that, but as a game dev myself, with Freeplay type stuff, I's say just let the players have fun, even if it's not "ant simulation", I mean this isn't an ant simulator anyway. Give these folks their driver ants for the helluvit. lol
Welp, lets hope they make it into freeplay through some ereptor magic-
I do get why they're not so for the campaign, I do agree that for freeplay it is a strange decision, especially in the case of the Driver Ants since they DO make underground nests at least occasionally.
No. We have driver ants at home!
