Any Advice? (Rising Tide - All Achievements)
I've been playing the Rising Tide level for a few days now trying to get the No Entry achievement but can never seem to beat. I normally run with one 10 group of workers, and 1 group of 38 rapid fire soldiers. I can get at minimum 19 of the soldiers to rank three but always either get overrun early on due to large hermits aoe attacks or the little spiders slipping past. Is there anyway to prevent this totally? Do I just need to keep retrying for good rng?

Only the enemies that spawn in the plants to the right of your nest will actually try to enter it. The roaming enemies won't try unless you aggro them, so you're suppose to kill whatever spawns and immediately hide in your nest. Once you get strong enough, then you can just stay outside. There is some rng where roaming crabs might get too close while you're still killing a wave. More workers would also help.
don't upgrade your soldiers, they have enough hp to tank a few hits from everything and because their damage is so garbage you are only getting durability from them. Because of this they only really get 20% more stats per upgrade rather then the normal 40-50% on something like black ants
Prioritise upgrading the ranged over the melee.
-Rapid Fire ants>Mortar on rising tide.
-Build a lot of workers/Rangers before bothering with any Soldiers (like 20 workers, 20 rangers).
-The only outside food worth grabbing on day 1 is the stuff really close to the entrance, and some of that first stash on the first lower level (collect with Workers, with Combat turned off, gather them in a group before moving down to the food)
-Gather a lot of the in-nest food day 1 (mainly the far Left, top middle, and top left groups of food) You can actually just let your Queen tank the first, immediate left-group and ~5-6 rangers can kill that group while she does

By the end of day 1, you should be able amass ~30-40 rangers, ~5 soilders, and the 20-25 workers you spammed at the start. Don't actually leave your nest until the Invading Crabs spawn, and then go out for them. There's no reason to sit outside and risk aggroing roamers into the nest on day 1.

Between the crab waves in Night 1, open 1 group of food in-nest for better food tempo. Don't overdo it and open multiple if you aren't confident with being able to catch the outside spawns.

Day2 onwards, you should have enough combat force to just dominate the beach and collect nearly all of the food. Travel in groups until the roaming Tiger Beatles in your path are dead (they will stop spawning, and clearing them keeps them dead that day) Once you have two 3x3x3x3x3 chambers of rangers (these are groups of 19) start upgrading them, and those should be enough to win the game. Sprinkle in some Soldiers just to have a front line, you shouldn't need more than ~10-15, but at this point more certainly doesn't hurt. Upgrade Soldiers after the rangers.

Yeah this is pretty much what I do, though I'm not able to amass that many troops night 1. What usually gets me is one of the large hermits aoe attacking my troops during the first night which wipes them all out or splits attention long enough so that if I kill the small hermits, other small/medium ones are attracted and by then I don't have an army due to the large hermit.
