SimAnt 2.0?

I saw the game and immediately remembered my love of SimAnt from Maxis back in the early 90's... While I know it's not a direct successor or anything, does anyone have any opinion of its feel for someone who really wants both an 2024 and nostalgia?

From what i've read no, this is not what you (or i) wanted from the game. it's micro/macro intensive gameplay heavy. And punishing if you misstep. Sadly for us, this is how games are going to be produced from now on. Give it a try regardless because maybe it will tickle your fancy for that.

It's an ant rts game. Not exactly comparable one to one with SimAnt but, honestly, the closest thing I have seen to it my whole gaming career.

Thank you all for your input. I might give it a try later on, but I appreciate the feedback. Also glad others remember SimAnt... I loved that game. (Wrote a story using it for 6th grade lol)
