UPDATE to Beta Testing - V0.2111 Update - Bug Fixes & Small Changes

We've released a bug-fixing (yes, we've heard the joke before!) update for the currently running beta. All of the most recent changes are listed below. If you're not participating in the optional beta and would like to, it is still running and as long as you own the game on Steam and use Windows, you can participate.

To access the beta, follow the below steps:

1) Find Empires of the Undergrowth in your Steam library, right-click on it and choose "Properties"
2) Choose the "Betas" tab
3) In the box titled "Enter beta access code to unlock private betas", enter christmasants
4) After the "Access code correct" information appears, make sure you've chosen "openbeta" from the "Select the beta you would like to opt into" drop-down menu
5) Press close - the game will now update to the beta branch.

By doing so, you are acknowledging that this is a beta and things are not in their finished state. If you're already on the beta branch, you don't need to follow these steps again.

Still crashing to desktop when in free play with leafcutters

on the alpha level-the crucible there is a bit of unpainted land behind the bush on the ramp. also with that ramp the minor and medae class ants keep getting stuck but is fine with the majors. with that i think mostly everything else is fine

So, this happened. Windows shut the game off as soon as I revealed a room with a critter inside. I have not tried anything else yet, but if I do, I will post another video.

Edit: I tried to open Aggrandize and the game shut down.

Edit: Opened Babysitting and the game shut down when I revealed a room with a critter.

Edit: Okay. I can't open a room with a critter inside or the game crashes. Pretty much anything that loads a bug other than an ant crashes the game.

We've identified a pretty universal crash to do with creature spawning in the most recent beta. It shouldn't be a difficult fix so we'll try to do a "hotfix" ASAP for this one issue. Hang tight or opt out of beta in the meantime.

Leafcutters are still super easy to get killed off in Freeplay due to how little actual food they get as opposed to the other ant colonies. It seems like unless we get the map from the story mode leaf cutter ants are going to make it so that in freeplay you aren't going to be able to end up being able to sustain longer terms of play like you can with others species just due to how much food the other species get comparatively.
