What Ant species can you play?

and the Counterpart Ones

is there any others to be unlocked or snuck away somewhere?

That's it for now - the fire ants will be introduced in the next big update, and with them will come the big-headed ants and little black ants which are likely to be playable in freeplay.

To some extent you can play as other ants in sort of an adopted way in freeplay levels,such as army ants or trapjaws

I ended up getting the Counterparts unlocked and (i dont really pay attention to patch notes :P) it spooked me into thinking there are others that i havent unlocked

Those are the ones you can get normally with the Fire Ants and likely an Asian ant species for Tier 5 (due to the Termite species thats going to be used is native to Asia, but has spread to North America and parts of Africa).

That said, if you know how to file edit you CAN add other species to the main formicium (using the Extremius unlocks), there was a guide on it a while back but the author by the looks of it deleted it. Just be aware it's rather risky and as such you should create a backup colony if you do want to try (I don't recommend this due to the risk of corrupting your file assuming you don't make a backup, but it's an option).

Just a warning to people who want to edit their save files - at that point, you're definitely on your own. We've had a few people get upset that their saves stop working after editing them, and there's not much we can do to recover them. We certainly don't support saves corrupted by editing.

So for your own sake, make a backup - and if things go awry anyway, there's nothing we can do.

Yeah, but from what I could fine the link no longer exists now since it was linked to that guide.
