"Queen of the Hill" on Insane?

so i just tryid to do 2.2 on Insane and i was completly Destroyed by the crazy number of Enemys.
Underground was out of food
Food outside right and left was out too (collected right at the beginning as fast as possible)
maded many units as possible due to amount of food.
and still there are way too many enemys i guess, second Day, the wave was like 30 vs 70 lol

Mortars make it very easy due to their very strong AoE. Rapid-fire are quite capable, but you have to go out and clear enemies on the lower ground starting on the second night or you won't have the food.

From the guide, you shoud be hunting from the second night, and harvesting the aphids for the first one. Mortars destroy the armies the other 2 colones send at you, because they only have level ones. A full 4x4/5x5 level 3 chamber can wipe a big chunk of their army.
