Formica ereptor question
so the formica ereptor finds wood ants useful due to their formic acid, they find leafcutter majors useful because of their muscled head and strong jaws, and later on the fire ants, which the formica ereptor will find useful due to their painful stings. But what about the black ants, yes they are useful at the start but then when they get the stronger ants like leafcutters the black ants are basically useless? So why do formica ereptor still find black ants useful?

Someone correct me if im wrong, but last I remember, the ants don't choose what ants they want, the genes are in the royal jelly provided by the scientists.

I think that's right, in the old versions of the game the formica Ereptor were natural ants close to slave ants but in the current version they are possibly artificial ants (I'm not sure) that scientists can manipulate to establish the ants they want to see in the colony.

Haha i kind of knew that ability i think but i didn't think that was why the formica ereptor queen chose formica fusca black ants.

wood ants are strong at range but weak when up close. major ants are highly expensive and thus, they have less. black ants are the in between. they are the cheapest fighter, can have high number, and effective at damage. ants get close to wood ants and guess what? they die in seconds. majors get swarmed easily so they are a better support/tank. black ants are the thing that stop majors from being swarmed, because of their numbers, and are the best defence for wood ants
