at first i thought you were talking about "ant mimics" which are actual spiders that mimic ant behavior and actually join foraging lines with ants, but now after watching the video i see your actually talking about an ant species.

the species your showing of ants (Leptomyrmex erythrocephalus) arent new to the scene and the majority of the reason they are called "spider ants" is because of their movement and positioning when disturbed, their body type on the other hand isnt anything special and quite a few species have those same body types in other areas of the world.

many people know about them, especially ant keepers and Myrmecologists / Entomologists.

this species among others are more like "honey pot ants" in which they have repletes that dont leave the nest and hang from the ceiling of their nest to feed their colony.

you should google "honey pot ants" to get a view of what the repletes will look like when fully engorged with liquids, they look quite funny as living storage containers :steamhappy:

you should also look into raising termites, not only are they just as fun to keep as ants, but can also be used as feeders for ant colonies, they are slightly harder to "found" colonies of as they need special care and setups.

is this your video or someone elses video?

if so...

fully watching your video... this seems more like an effort (advertisment) to plug your youtube channel in this steam forum and im pretty sure ive seen a facebook group sporting that name "AntsAus", im part of the groups centralised around north america and some that are just plain entomology / Myrmecology and a few termite groups.

also, the end of your video you seem to be using the same music that mikey bustos (AntsCanada) uses for his youtube channel ant videos.... :steamfacepalm:

if not...

you should credit the person who actually created the vids.

nice channel and nice vids tho, may watch them, i watch more of AntsCanada and TarheelAnts more than anything tho and are part of their facebook groups aswell.

happy to see more ant keepers and possible future Myrmecologists :steamhappy:

I am saying he over dramatizes things, now his next video is one that deserves drama seen as the fire nation died.

Not to instigate, but I didn't see any crying whatsoever. Stating your opinion isn't crying.

And no, he definitely overdramatizes things. His "Goddess of the ant empire" b.s. is a prime case-in-point. It's a turantula. Name it something and give facts about it, such as "When attempting to interact with Sally the turantula, I always feed her beforehand so she doesn't see me as food" rather than "Before I can collect her webbing, I must provide the Goddess a sacrifice". >.> That's overly dramatic.

you do realize all his "pets" are named by his community?

that being said, odd names arent something one calls "dramatic".

Go check Mikeys twitter, He put a poll up saying "devastating news" and it looks like the trap jaws will be taking over the fire nations old terrarium.
His next video will be about what happened to the fire nation.
God knows what could end a colony like that since the last video he made.
OR it is a bunch of Drama and they actually outgrew the Haceinda del dorado
Edit: oh duhh the golden empire
