Ants won't attack bug

They won't attack the bug, and its a bug. heh.

I forget the name of the thing, but this is on the second formicarium challenge. I'm down to the last black and white beetle and it seems to be stuck at one of the entrances to the underground.

When my ants are near it and set to attack they will stand still and refuse to take orders. When I set them to passive I can move them around again. Either way the bug is stuck and the ants won't do anything.

It seems we've inadvertently re-introduced some old issues with pathfinding with the most recent update. Creatures get stuck like this when they can't path out of a spot and nothing can path to them. In a mode where you have to kill all creatures that means the level won't end. Sorry about that - chances are on a replay this wouldn't happen again.

I've let the guys know; we'll be looking into it.

i had the same bug and had several screenshots of it. if you turn on and off the allow attack button while trying to get the ants close enough to hit said bug you can progress. its how i got through when it happened to me

@mike a work around is to tell your ants to not fight via tapping the icon then reinstate the fight icon. Keep doing this until the bug is dead. This worked for me in the same issue. Just takes time because you're basically fighting with one ant at a time.

Remember this is an Early Access game.... There will be bugs that need to be fixed. Best thing is to either work around it, start a new game or patiently wait for a fix from the devs after a bug report is submitted

Have you tried the acid flinging ants? They wouldn't have to reach their target in order to kill it, and the rapid fire ones tear through enemy bugs like copy paper.

Just as a follow-up to this - the guys have identified some issues and there will be a patch to correct it. Things getting stuck in nest entrances really is our white whale on this project!
