We can't guarantee it for things that are below minimum spec, but if you had a recent mid-range laptop that has something better than "Intel HD" on-board graphics (so you'll be looking for the words GeForce or Radeon in the system spec) then I think the game would run fine on that.
Out of memory usually means out of ram. You can stretch this by adding/enlarging the page file, but that is more of a stop-gap. Basically a page-file uses a part of your hard drive (hdd or ssd) as a back-up ram. So if you max out your system's ram, it will spill over to the page-file. Windows is smart enough to put less accessed files into page-file and more accessed files into ram.
But again this is a stop-gap. If your laptop is a mid range 5-yr-old, it may not help. You can also go into the games settings and turn the graphics down lower (try minimum settings). Lastly, optimize your pc by ensuring no un-needed background apps (programs in old parlance) are running.
