Arachnophobe mode puts silly hats on the arachnids. Realistic mode hides the underground outlines of food and enemies. Neither has any effect other than that.

I may have to turn on the arachnophobic mode now, While I adore spiders, I also love gimmicks like this, SimAnt had a spider that shot out lasers if your colony grew too large. Spiders with cute hats, yes please.

That said, don't you dare consider selling clothing dlc for the ants :/ or other bugs.

it's adorable, i was laughing out loud at the different hat varieties. I think my favorite is the wolf spider
