How do you beat The Harvest?
They're always twice my leafs ahead. Whenever i go attack them, my trails get intercepted and delayed, which causes half my army to not go and fight. I'm getting real tired, and i don't wanna just go easy mode.

Be aggressive. The enemy colony is powerful but quite shy - they will retreat if you target them. They'll return with more forces, but if you keep up this tactic you will prevail.

really? i just constantly harrased them with my majors and kept harvesting in the background

lots and lots and lots of workers. Mass spam those workers. I used 2 harvesting groups, and I had a separate major group that i used to protect my ants and also go harass the enemy to force them to withdraw

Or you can build up your forces and simply kill the enemy queen, lots of majors, at least 20 will achieve this, also make sure you have plenty of food for back up.

i definitely recommend this option. the enemy WILL out-eco you every time. or at least that is my experience. so your only option is to cause a victory by default

So i took your advice, but realized my first attack wasn't sufficient, and retreated out of their nest. However, when i did retreat they didn't follow.
At all.
The only times they left were to attack me when their economy had fallen behind.

So, i guess i won to a bug? In a game about bugs.

Ive had that happen as well, yet in other playthrough it did not happen and they resumed activities like normal....

You can also simply pin them in their nest by stationing swarms of majors around the entrances if you want to do something different. But killing the queen is the most straight forward way to win lol.

You can out eco them using the medium ants, you need a lot of them them 35+ And you need to start them up early.

Fast startup is key to easily winning this map through economy, although since the player is much cleverer than the AI the AI will slow significantly as resources dry up. That's the ideal catch-up time.
