A free Open Beta begins August 14 and runs through August 16, giving players an early look at combat, quests, and co-op across Gallia. The beta supports solo play and parties of up to three, with full cross-play between Meta Quest 3 / 3S and SteamVR.

Well intentioned critiques

If I don’t mention something in this, that means I liked it or I’m OK with it, but since this is a beta, I’m just going to be pointing out the flaws I found. The biggest anoint in this game is way too many load screens. The next one is having the camera on the waist I found my self constantly accidentally grabbing that thing. And having to leave my party groups every time I wanted to do a particular cinematic chapter because those had to be done in solo mode for some reason and then I would have to r...

Open Beta Runs August 13–16: Three Test Windows!

The Open Beta for Knights of Fiona runs on SteamVR across three test windows, beginning Thursday, August 13 (PT). The beta includes a 30-hour continuous play session, with nine challenge quests created for the test unlocking on a rolling schedule. Play solo or form a party of up to three, with cross-play between the Meta Quest and SteamVR versions.

Access is granted instantly — Knights of Fiona Playtest will appear in your Steam library, ready to install and play. Note that some headsets may not be compatible.

What You Can Experience

Play Solo or Form a Party of Up to Three

Experience the Open Beta solo, or form a party of up to three and take on quests together. An internet connection is required at all times, including when playing solo.

Cross-Play Between Meta Quest and SteamVR

Meta Quest 3/3S players and SteamVR players can adventure together across platforms.

Nine Challenge Quests, Unlocking Throughout the Test

Nine challenge quests developed exclusively for the Open Beta will unlock at scheduled times throughout the test. The first challenge, Bow-Wow Paradise, is scheduled to unlock one hour after first test session begins. Everyone starts at level 1, building their characters as they take on quests as they unlock. The quest unlock schedule, as well as any changes, will be posted on the official Discord and on X.

Save Data

Character progress and quest completion carry over across all three test windows

The save data from the open beta will not carry over to the full release — everyone will start fresh at launch!

Quest 3s lense issues.

Hi. I would like to point out a few issues I had while playing on quest 3s. The loading screen is sort of painful to look at. Pitch black enviroment combined with bright white "now loading" does not go well with fresnel lenses. I wish I could adjust the hud or make it static. Because of fresnel lenses it is not as sharp and comfortable to look at by moving just my eyes. Tilting my head does not help since the hud follows where I look (as I remember) and there is no option to scale it and move it closer ...

Unable to load the game

So am i missing something here? it loads up but all I see is the "up next" prompt with the games cover and some music but that's it. I'm stuck on that screen and I've restarted SteamVR and my pc and still stops there.

Questions about different game modes of play

The store page is listing as also supporting single player. So can this be played offline or does it always require an internet connection to allow you to play? If so I would add an option for offline play devs. I'm also concerned about the in app purchases, as many games deliberately tune their games to make it difficult to grind for items/gold that you need to progress, thereby forcing players to pay more just to advance. I hope that's not a thing here. Other than that, the game i looking great so far. ...
