Getting owned. What am I missing?

I just picked this game up again from forever ago, and I’ve just made it into the corridor that requires the red key card. I getting absolutely destroyed in here. I can’t seem to get around corners quick enough to not take damage and there’s no bots to take control of. I feel like I’m not using the proper tools/techniques. Any suggestions?
