Bosses are killing me

...yeah I know that's kinda their job, but I was enjoying the story and characters and now I'm stuck in a room getting basically minced over and over to the point where I don't want to play this anymore. I'm old and I just want to see my ghost gal and her nerd pals chat ♥♥♥♥ while I collect cubes.
Are there mods or anything to help?

I've checked the video. I'm probably right before the first boss. I have one weapon only. I'm guessing I need to farm cubes to buy the rest.
