Mouse doesn't work!
I mean, it works when you click on the ground, but in menus and inventory a game simply doesn't react to mouse clicks.

I fixed this problem on windows 10 touchscreen laptop by turning off the touchscreen entirely on my computer. Here's how:

1. Search Windows for "device manager"
2. Select the arrow for "human interface devices"
3. Select "HID-compliant touch screen"
4. Select "Driver" tab
5. Select "disable device"

Should do the trick. My trackpad works in-game now, with passive "mouseover" activity on menus and response for both buttons for inventory etc.

We still don't know what is going on. :steamsad:
Could you please send us your dxdiag information to support@handy-games.com!
(Just run dxdiag and save information)
Thanks!

Same here - mouse not working in menus, however I can click on ground and move soldiers. No controller connected to my laptop. Tested on - multi/single monitor setup with 16:9 and also 4:3 displays. Sending dxdiag

hello SG_QA, is there any update?
HG_QA  [developer] Dec 12, 2018 @ 6:33am
Hello, the devs implemented a setting in the options to fully disable the controller but we don't know if this helps because we never had that problem so it is very difficult to fix.
Also working on some other fixes so not sure yet when we will deploy the patch...

Hi
we implemented a feature to switch between controller and mouse/keyboard controls in hope that this might fix the issue.
It has the downside that controller users would have to activate the controller manualy now so we are not really happy with that solution and even worse, we don't know if this will really fix the problem you have.
That's why we decided to not release that version to all users but hope that someone of you can test if it fixes the problem for him!

In order to do that please open the properties page of the game in Steam and enter the following code in the "betas" section:
"hgpretesting"

This should open the "open_test" channel for you and when you select that, update the game with the possible fix.

It would be great if you could check that out and give us feedback!

Thank you!

Nope. New version still has UI and Title menus unclickable.

My guess problem is connected to UI. I studied Unity myself a bit and had similar issues when messing up UI layers or not having fade in/out image disabled. Are you sure that during UI initialization everything switched properly? Maybe on some configurations process is not completing. What resolution you tested the game?

Thanks for checking! I feared that...:steamsad:
We tested in 1920x1080, 2560x1440 and 3840x2160 mainly....(basically all 16:9/16:10 resolutions) but we got dxdiags from users who use those resolutions and still have that problem...

Can you try just in case to set a smaller resolution, like 1280x1024 (that's my display resolution) and check what will happen?

I wanted to just ask you if you could set yours to something 16:9/16:10 :)

I can't set it because the game doesn't support that resolution!

Yes, I tried to set 1280x720. UI was still unclickable.

What do you mean "doesn't support"? I play game in that resolution. It launches.

Thanks for trying! So that doesn't seem to be the cause of the problem. :(

I'm aware that it works for you because it forces the native resolution in the game but on the displays we have here, we don't get the option to set your resolution, because it is not officially supported.

Can you please also send us the log file found here:
c:\Users\{UserName}\AppData\LocalLow\THQ Nordic\Jagged Alliance Rage\Output_log.txt
Perhaps we can see something in it...

Weird. I thought any monitor can be set at low resolutions down to 640x480. And I'm pretty sure that inside Unity you can set a game to run in any resolution, including smallest ones.

IMHO, your best chance to catch this bug is to set low resolution and look if UI becomes unresponsive. And if it does, look why and check if that can happen in some other situation with resolutions that are officially supported.

P.S. Anyways, I've sent you Output_log.txt
HG_QA  [developer] Dec 14, 2018 @ 12:51am
Well I didn't think of just setting my monitor resolution to yours. But we did that now and it still works in the game. Also we saw an exception in the file you sent (thanks for that!) so it has to be something else...

Hello, I have updated my game and without positive results - I can see new setting in menu but menu is not clickable at all.
