Does this game have a good ending now?
I knew the game since it's original release years ago and it only has a crappy bad end (no, I refuse to call it bittersweet, it's aint). So does the extended scenario has a "happy ever after" kind ending?

Just finished reading. It's good, but it's still kinda bittersweet. Well, he is at least alive here.

Could someone help explain ending stuff for me? I've heard there is a good ending and a normal one and like a bunch of bad ones so basically what I want to know is
there an actual happy ending? Like where he doesn't die, and there's a happily ever after deal? The ending I got was he went into surgery and things seemed sorta better but that the operation didn't go well and tomoya died sometime after and tomoyo was being all strong about it Which ending is that? I guess since Tomoyo is my favorite I just want to know if there's actually an ending that would make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside?

That's the true ending that you've gotten. As far as I understood it's like this:
After doing the operation he regained his memories but only had 2 weeks to live. After he died Tomoyo went strong on alone knowing that one day she will meet him again. She started helping people on the internet who had similar problems like her and she told them her story. After she got old and died, Tomoyo finally met Tomoya again. That's why he said: ''Now it's my turn to make you happy''.
I do agree it's a really depressive bittersweet ending but it was an unique reading experience for me which I won't forget that easily.

Actually one more question. I thought I heard something about good ending as well. Sometimes VNs have true ending and good ending and I was curious of those are one and the same in this isntance here for this VN.

The "good" ending is more ambiquous if he survived , from what i got on internet .I didnt read thus vn , but I hate this sad endings so i probably will not read.I ghot curious about something . Why tomoya isnt healed like nagisa was ?He still would have the light orbs from clannad no?

The ''good ending'' is supposed to be this one. (Memorial Edition) It's pretty much the same ending as the original one but with a few sentences added. Which made it open for interpretation. He either survived the surgery and they lived together happily or they met again after Tomoyo died.
I hope I got it right, I can get confused too with all these different versions. ^^

Which one is considered the canon?I think you are correct on the versions .

Given that Tomoyo chooses to spend her life helping out strangers, it's not even unthinkable that she collected light orbs and was eventually granted her wish to live on happily with Tomoya.

but tomoya's light orbs wouldnt do the same . i never ended nagisa route on clannad so i am not 100% certain on the whole use of the orbs of light.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Tears for days on that ending. Sounds like true/good ending are basically the same but it's possible that in the good ending he recovered from the surgery, etc.

But man. Those feels.

Alternate ending where he recovers all his memories and they have a bunch of babies and live on as a happy family forever. Everyone agree on this canon? haha
Kurk Splatter Aug 25, 2016 @ 11:48am
Aha. The bad ending where he sleeps with Tomoyo instead of building the school... Then he goes home and regrets what he could have done, but forgets about it and goes on to live a comfortable family life with Tomoyo and Tomo. Probably has more kids, does good in his job, gets to love Tomoyo for the rest of his life. That 'bad ending' is comfy as ♥♥♥♥.
