Caveman World: Mountains of Unga Boonga

Caveman World: Mountains of Unga Boonga

Update 1.3
Tweaked Trampolines
I added a bit of upwards force to the trampoline to assist in jumping, and also to correct an issue where the bounce pad wasn't returning to center gravity fast enough. I'm hoping this will improve game play slightly.

Added Geysers
There's a lot of trampolines in the game, and some folks seem to be having difficulty learning how to use them. I originally considered replacing them all with water-spouting geysers. But after creating, adding and tweaking the geysers, I decided to keep most of the trampolines, and replace just a few with geysers to help give the game a bit more variety. The geysers are much easier to maneuver on than the trampolines and achieve the same result (they both help Unga get back up to the higher platforms)

Bear Sniffing Damage
I saw a few screenshots and videos where players were able to walk behind the bear and push him around, as if Unga had some butt sniffing super power. This was caused by a missing damage collider on the bear's hind end. This has been corrected.

Main Menu: Resolution
Players using a very high resolution of 3840 x 2160 or greater were seeing menu containers that were not meant to be seen. I moved these menu containers further away from the viewable area to prevent this from happening.

Main Menu: Tips
I added random tips in the center of the main menu. For example; a chart that explains how stars can be earned throughout the game, as well as tips for using the trampoline and log vaulting. I will be adding a few more in the next update.

This game was created in its entirety by one person "me". I even wrote the music! I can't take credit for a few of the assets however. I did purchase the animated characters and enemies from the Unity Asset Store, and some of the textures came from other items purchased here and there too. (for example, the random skies came from a package of sky boxes that I purchased a while back) But I designed the bulk of the models, animations, recorded and edited sounds, voices and music, level design, and so on. It breaks my heart to hear all of the negative feedback, but I do try to keep my chin up and learn from the experience. I spent about 1,500 hours making this game from scratch. It was my first published game on Steam.

Wow, that is absolutely amazing. This is an amazing game to create on your own. Please don't blame yourself over any negative feedback. There will always be negative reviews and in your case most don't even have any basis. I read some about the graphics not being up to par. Those people are not realizing that the graphics are what was aimed for in this type of game. And like I said in my positive review, if those people want top tier graphics, they should buy Fallout 4. :-). You are amazing for creating this game on your own. Many people try but almost all fail. You did not.
