i downloaded the pack containining theatre of war plus africa, kursk and korea. original plays fine but with the later versions kursk, africa and korea just give me a black screen? work that one out. i have windows 8 with a gtx 780 graphics card. maybe we need night vision glasses or maybe steam should warn buyers of problems BEFORE WE SPEND OUR DOSH

ironically, i am able to play theater of war on my laptop, if i connect it to an external monitor. But not on the laptop by itself. i currently use a msi ge 60 0nd laptop on W8.1.

Perhaps your laptop has two graphics cards - one built in CPU and another discrete one for games. Problem is, when you run the game on the laptop itself, it doesn't automatically switch to discrete graphics card and the game can't run on Intel integrated graphics. When you switch to external monitor, the discrete graphics card is used and the game works.
You should be able to force your discrete graphics card via display control panel to use it even when you run the game on laptop itself.

it's not that. when i set the graphic settings in the game to 1920x1080, only part (60-70%) of the screen lay out will show in my laptop monitor. but if i use an external monitor like my led tv via hdmi. 100% of the screen lay out will be shown. despite my laptop having a fhd screen.

Has this issue been resolved yet? Have reinstalled and continue to get the same issue.

it could also help me if steam would do something about that. Becouse the game looks really awesome, but the problem happens to me too.
