How to beat poland's first mission?

Im new on the game and this missions seems a bit hard.

Don't start with Polish campaign, it is very hard. I suggest playing Panzer Lehr and Liberation of Belorussia campaigns first. The fact they are set during late war also helps (late war artillery and tanks usually one-shot each other while early war guns can spend all the ammo and don't score a kill, German tanks against French B1-Bis is a good example).

Played on hard, The 3 field guns you have all way at the back I placed on the hill sides that could overwatch the 1st defense line and beyond. With reinforcements i build up 2nd line for the breaing through panzer, after those were beaten counter attacked, Za Polske!

Thanks! This evolves tweaking the game files. It's time consuming, at times frustrating, but when it works it makes the game so much more fun(for me).

I struggled with this mission also, but got past it last night on Regular difficulty with Morale enabled. I just used the default force assignment, noting the following:
- Set up your AT guns with bushes concealing you from the enemy approach
- Try to position guns on hills in a way that the crest also provides cover
- Ensure at least one gun has overwatch to the right side of the map, as enemy does flank
- Check your AT guns often and use the infantry squads to replace losses ASAP
- Prioritise fire on the Pz IV ausf B's as these will murder your guns and your TKS's
- Position infantry reinforcements so that they can replace knocked out gun crews
- Order your AT Rifleman to hold fire until enemy tanks are within penetration range

Otherwise I can't help but feel I just got lucky, with more of my gun crews simply hitting their mark than in previous runs. Best of luck to those slaves to chronological order! I do get the impression from other sources that Poland is one of the harder campaigns in ToW
