Can no longer summon Ruin as of today!

Been playing Darksiders Warmastered Edition on Steam with PS4 controller, no problem whatsoever until today. I can no longer summon Ruin! Like there is just no option to do it at all!! Was there an update that broke this?

check out in Steam Big Picture. maybe a button to summon Ruin was unassigned? (in other words, review your keybinds)

It wasn't unassigned, the entire overlay looked different in game. Swim up and down also disappeared, and trying some community bindings all resulted in bugs (not working as described). Manually changing bindings did fix the problem well enough though.

I'm possible since the game has no remapping available in game.

yea same, i completed the game twice before 2020, playing it in 2025 made me not able to summon ruin, or change in game controls, as it will just revert back to the original button prompt, can no longer dive into water also, war will just be diving but his legs will be above the water as though he cant pierce through the water.
