Fatal Error: Failed to Create Vertex Buffer 0x80070057

I keep getting this error every time I try to complete the griffin section after very shortly before the cutscene to land at the twilight cathedral in the griffin section only! I don't know how to fix this problem, if anyone has any advice, please help!!

I've played darksiders on xbox since the original on xbox 360 and I'm really hoping I can get the chance to relive the experience.

This should not happen, thats for sure. The error code means there was a wrong parameter passed to CreateBuffer - however that should always fail or always pass as the parameters are only controlled by the games data files (always like every time on every ones install).

Can you let steam verify your local files just to be sure ?

Anyone else with a problem like this ?

I have put a build on the publicbeta branch that fixes a potential memory problem, but also traces info about failed Vertex (and Index) buffer creates into the logfile.

Please check it out and post the bit at the end of the logfile about failed vertex buffer create to this post (or send the full logfile to [e-mail]).

I restarted steam and had steam verify my local files. Steam found that two were missing and it recovered them. I just started up from my save in the griffon section and it worked perfectly! I've successfully landed at the twilight cathedral and I'm off to take on Tiamat. Thanks so much for your help! :D
