Just starting 1st Playthrough Apoc Difficulty - Tips?

I'm trying to do a full achievement run for first playthrough so obviously, I need to start on apocalypse difficulty. Only near the start of the game so far but it feels kinda tough already, just have to dodge like a mad man I think.

But yeah as the title says, any tips from anyone who has already done it would be handy as hell!
Love the game but the sheer fact i can't buckle and lower the difficulty mid way through game has me horrified i'm going to get stuck and have to restart the thing.

it's gonna be tough on first playthrough if you haven't played the game before. but it's doable for sure. my advice is: as you said, dodge like a madman, collect all health upgrades, and if you have souls, always have one or two full health restoration potions in your inventory. this will be helpful on some annoying bosses and mini bosses. chaoseater abilities i found most powerful are: power strike, harpoon tackle and flipsaw (or whirl wind combo, not sure).
