You can go ahead if you like, just credit me.
Unfortunately, Xbox one controller has this automatic XInput mode where it just reports itself as XB360 controller so no chance for the game to select better prompts...
Well, I didn't know about the Native support for PS4, as I don't have one... but the switching works fine either way for Xbox.
See here to see what I mean: https://imgur.com/a/qNGSr
Not a big deal since you can just figure out the controls yourself. I did this method since I'm using the Steam Client BETA which has DS4 Support now (Emulates as a Steam Controller) and as such the game reads my DS4 as a Xbox Controller but I wanted DS4 Prompts.
I will have a look with the Beta client, hopefully there is a way around that. Great to have a wrapper if you need one but not great at all if you can't get rid of it...
The way the Steam Client BETA is setup now, the moment you open up steam it hooks into the controller. (I don't have auto login but even at the login screen, it still connects to the controller even though I'm not in the client yet) Once steam is open, it takes the DS4 hostage pretty much. Decided to try a thirdparty wrapper "DS4Windows" for a moment, I open it and it manages to take control of the DS4 but once I click on steam in anyway, Steam takes the hook back. So I guess Steam has a consistent hook which is probably the cause?
So if you want PS4 prompts rename "ui_buttons_ps4.oppc" to "ui_buttons_xbox.oppc" or "ui_buttons_xbone.oppc" to "ui_buttons_xbox.oppc" for Xbox one controller prompts
Steam have an option for games that already have native support for DS4, you just need to uncheck this box and it should work (or not as it is still on development xD).

Yes, sorry... I'll edit the post :P
Didn't know about that, just tried it and it works. Thanks for sharing. I'm a bit deep into the game now so this definitely helps. (For learning the combos and such.)
Something to add is that switching out the files does work (as mentioned already) but when I got to "The Scalding Gallow" I think it's called, when you have to get all those "Shadow Lurkers" for the Golem, when I'd go to one of the objectives to do this when I reached the middle of the arena, War would just freeze there. Switched back to original and it worked fine. I guess for the prompt that pops up on screen, it couldnt load so it just froze.
