Purple/pink outline
So does anyone else have this purple/pink-ish outline on things that aren't in the middle of the screen? The middle "third" of the screen is normal, but the right and left sides have this issue. And it's not the monitor, since this is the only game this happens for.

I've not had that issue at all. Does this only happen in specific areas or in all regions? Have you tried turning off Vignette and/or Chroma FX? If you try them, try one at a time.

Mostly when outside, like trees and light posts. But I'll give it a try, thanks.

i have this issue and it is because of chroma fx, when turned off it goes away.

This is not an issue, it is a feature. Absolutely ok if you don't like it, thats why there is an option to turn in off.

Oh hey, turning the Chroma FX thing off helped, thanks guys!
Never noticed it when playing the original, that's why I reacted.

Not quite sure what else that option did though...

That's all it did, was enable/disable chromatic aberration.

It's a visual effect that simulates the way low quality camera lenses fail to focus the light spectrum along their edges because of manufacturing defects. It's purely a thing developers do to give a scene character or depth.

Ah, right. Thanks ^_^

wait a second, are you people telling me, that this odd figure, square-ish line in left bottom, is a feature, and not a bug?
Ravenfur Dec 11, 2016 @ 1:32pm
Uhm... Maybe? If you meant that things have a purple "line" around them, then yeah.
If not, I have no idea what you're talking about.
IndigoAK Dec 11, 2016 @ 3:12pm
Yeah, I don't know what you're referring to. Post a screenshot?

The option to disable features I don't like is always appreciated. So thank you in that regard. Also, thanks for the official response.

The problem is, however, I don't see what's being referred to by Gizhul, and I've put my settings to max, except fov is automatic.. I'm not getting this "feature". But because Gizhul said the location of this anomaly I figured it was probably Vignette or Chroma FX.

Here's how I am understanding things: If you look in a coloring book, everything has black outlines, and then you color between the lines. Now imagine those outlines being purple or pink. I believe that's what Gizhul is referring to, the color of the outlines, but only on the outer portions of the screen.

My specs (in case it helps somehow):
Windows 10 Home 64 bit
Pentium G3240 @ 3.1 GHz (2 CPUs)
GTX 750 Ti 2 Gigs RAM (EVGA)
8 Gigs RAM

That is exactly what I'm referring to! And turning of the Chroma FX removed it.

Gizhul:

I'm glad you were able to solve it. Hopefuly we can get an official response as to why you get this and I don't. I'm sure there are plenty others on both sides, those getting it and those not.

EDIT: To be clear, I have Chroma FX and Vignette on, as well all settings are at max with fov set to automatic.

Well, a screenshot would help to clarify things. Otherwise this is just guessing what he sees on screen.
