Chroma FX
First of all, I would like to know what is the actual purpose of this post processing effect. To be honest when it's turned on it actually makes the game look rather ugly. so I play with it off. There is also a few things that I have noticed with this effect is on, and that is it only works on part of the screen.

Here is 3 screen shots. and for some reason, the effect isn't as pronounced as it is in game. In the game you can see very distict pink artifacts like there is supposed to be some tranparency that isn't being made transparent.

The above Screenshot is with the Chroma FX turned off. this is how I normally play the game

This is with Chroma FX turned on. In this screen shot if you look at the pipe connection on the right hand side, compared to the original there in some pink artifacts added to the image, you can also notice it in the wall on the left hand side of the image. This effect is also a lot more pronounced when in game for some reason.

And in this last screen shot you can see that the effect isn't applied to the entire screen, it only seems to effect 2/3 of the image, the 1/3 that isn't affected seemed to be centered around war himself. and if you look closely at the pipe connection off in the distance you can see where there is a clear cutoff of where the effect is applied, and where it's not.

It's Chromatic Aberration. I personally agree that it makes the image look worse; it's meant to replicate artifacts that can be found in physical cameras. It can make some scenes extra realistic but doesn't suit this game's style at all.

Chromatic aberration is the same kind of thing like lens flare or depth of field, etc. It's just eye candy to make it look like the game is being filmed by a real camera.

Don't like it, turn it off. It's just there because the updated game engine or the new version of DirectX had the option built in and it was zero effort or cost to include it here.

mehh i see the piont BUT really to me i like a lot of options in my settings to fool with. i mean would you rather have a basic model or something or something with lots of tools to play with? lol

would be nice if they were on on one page. Virtually impossible to tell the differences having to open each picture individually.
