Do you know if it's because of your cpu usage or not? I'm having the same issue. http://steamcommunity.com/app/462780/discussions/0/154642447914354433/
The cutscenes are not "lagging" ..they're not properly using sound channels. There's a big difference in meaning. The point to get across though is that the graphical part of cutscens run perfeclty fine, but the audio levels and delivery is not working right, so that you get perfectly fine voice overs, but you can't hear the sound effects or anbient effects properly at all.
Like if you tried to listen to a 8.1 dolby digital blue ray with only 2 stereo speakers plugged in.
Game plays well outside of cutscenes, 60Fps, but as soon as a cutscene begings it lags, the video stutters and the audio seems to be not working properly.
Hope there is a solution for this.
Just to make sure it's not because of CPU usage, Tried some cpu usage limitation program and limited the game's usage by 10% (just to make sure it doesn't use all of the cpu's power) and still got awful sound syncing.
Really hope they can fix it without making us re-download all of the videos(It's more than 10 GB's FFS).
But the gameplay itself is pretty smooth.
Game runs 60fps+, FMV are playing correct. In-game cutscene crawl down to a very low FPS, and audio seems to keep going at normal rate, Making it completely unwatchable. Can't play it until fixed.
V-sync on (With or without triple buffering) in exclusive fullscreen gives the unwatchable in-engine cutscenes. Doesn't matter if you use v-sync foced via GPU (Videocard) control panel, Or use the in-game option, Both are broken in exclusive fullscreen.
In borderless window mode, v-sync on doesn't make the in-engine cutscenes go out of sync, And play out proper. Be it it has some minor stutters (On my rig). Buffer issues it is.
Hope it helps anyone. It is a great game if it runs good.
What is worse for you, The stuttering or out-of-sync problem?. As if it is stuttering then yes that makes sense, As exclusive fullscreen has more resources available and gives a little more fps.
If it's the out of sync problem, For me borderless worked with v-sync on, Otherwise I get tearing too indeed. But this gives a relative big performance hit, Making it run less smooth. And I wouldn't know how to fix your out of sync problem then. Maybe try double checking the GPU settings, Maybe it created a cutom profile etc.
