Darksiders Warmastered vs Original Comparison

Hey, guys, perhaps you are interested in a graphical comparison I made of the Warmastered Edition against the Original game:

Some Ups and Downs...

looks a bit better but have to remember this is really a huge upgrade from the 360 port. looks cleaner more less.

Would've been nice if sweetfx decided to work, dxgi module doesn't seem to load.

Hope they will fix the cutscene sound, but there's a reason for these issues - the cutscenes seem to have been redone from scratch so they don't look bad compared to the in-engine rendering, both resolution- and texture-wise. Which deserves a kudos, this is more effort than most of these remasters put in. Yeah, it's bad that they messed up the sound somewhat, but it only happened because they wanted to do good. And in-game, the newer textures make a whole world of difference, the game does look nicer. Add to it the fact that it's a free upgrade and, well, I can't complain.

Is it me or does it seem like they just upscaled the textures, increased the rendering distance and applied a light filter to everything? Even though Darksiders 2's remaster wasn't ground breaking or the best thing ever done to a game, at least there was effort in improving it visually and the game played quite a bit better.

I just got through the Tutorial area and did the Scarred Council bit and honestly wasn't that impressed so far.

if you havent noticed any games like these dont have a huge grpahic change. if so they would take longer and be more expensive. this is 20 bucks after all

Which is why I normally just play the original unless the remastered version exists because the original can't run stably on modern systems or crashes all the time or other issues.

My game looks really allot better then that video comparison, 4k remaster with brightnes set to dark the game looks like 5 times better compared to orginal.
