Controller problem

I bought a ps controller (just the cheap ones). It's a PS controller but the display on the controller config is an xbox. How would I change it to a PS? I cant play because some buttons does not apply to PS controllers.

There is no support for PS controllers before PS4s dualshock 4. Many controller mapping tools map to XInput which is the native Api for Xbox controllers.
You can't make the game show the PS button prompts, there is no way other than using a mapping tool that maps your controller to a direct-input DS4 - I don't know if such a tool exists at all.

To get all buttons working you probably will have to work with a controller mapping tool to map all your controllers buttons to XInput buttons.

Thank you! I somehow manage to fix my problem. I configured my controller via Steam and Darksiders somehow changed its controls to my existing configuration in Steam. That's good tho.

It's a shame this was never done. Playing on a PS4 controller and having to guess the buttons is a pain in the ass.
