Oralech? [Spoiler[

So I've seen a few mentions that you have to lose against Oralech if you want him to stay with Sandlewood... How true is that? So far haven't lost any pyreball games and while I don't mind throwing the match when I first run into him, is it needed?

This is a little spoilerish, but the important match vs Oralech is the last Liberation Rite, and the last checkpoint is actually right before it, so you can try defeating him to see how it goes first, then go back and replay the last Liberation Rite in different ways.

You need to lose to him during the final Liberation Rite, then to reach out, when the option appears.

You don't actually need to lose if you liberate Sandalwood BEFORE the final lib rite,
then choose to set Oralech free despite winning in the final lib rite.
