Switching between whom you control is to slow
Topic.

It takes just as long to pass the orb as to switch whom you are controlling, which is WAY to slow when it comes to selecting whom you want to stear.

It's very frustrating seeing the opponents being able to switch lickity split between whom they are controlling but being able to do the same.

This leads to the playstyle of just simply never switching whom you controll until you get banished or score. It's simply the dominant strategy, which ofc lead to less varied gameplay.

Atm I just make sure that the 1st and the 3rd characters I put in the rite are the one I wanna mainly controll, that way there is no switching needed (make liberation rites extra anoying since you HAVE to pick the one you want to liberate as 1st).

This all ofc is because I'm playing on the hardest settings, it's almost a mute point when the game is easy.

I've noticed the "lag" in switching between characters as well. I just figured it was me being clumsy though. But more frustrating I can't always cycle through the units I need, often I have to sacrifice one just so I can switch to the other...

Using the "next/previous" buttons (the shoulder buttons on a controller, iirc z/x on keyboard) make switching a lot faster, since you don't need to 'aim' with the pass button. It's basically instant.

Yes, I think this is one MASSIVE advantage the AI has over a human player, being able to precisely select and switch between characters where there is a significant delay in how quickly a human can do it. I likewise thought I just needed to git gud at switching, but even in the best of situations it feels clunky.

Using a gamepad, for the record. I found it was perhaps a little easier to do on keyboard, but it's just about the only advantage I feel the keyboard controls have over a gamepad

Trying to switch with aiming is agonisingly slow, but using next/previous is just as fast as the AI as far as I can tell. But they only seem to work properly on the gamepad. They behave weirdly on KBM, requiring you to hold them down and then press the pass button. Also remember you can always instantly pass to the nearest team mate with the pass button by tapping it instead of aiming it.

Sounds like you might not have all modifiers on then ^^;

I am also playing with controller and ofc using next/previous. For me the AI can switch roughly 3 times as fast as I can, as I've seen them do it about that many times during a few singel switches for myslef ^^;

Oh, well if you're using the Titan Stars, then, yes, you're disadvantaged compared to your opponents. But that's the whole point of the Titan Stars.

This seams like a silly thing to "nerf" the player with.

Why do you characters have to turn towards the player they are switching controlls to? Makes sence when you are passing, not so much when switching charaters. Just looks and feels silly and sluggish.

Well, in fluff terms, it's because only one of them can move at a time, and they almost literally throw the magic that allows them to move between them. In more real terms, it's UI feedback.

I find the camera moving and the blue orbie thingy above their head to be plenty of feedback ^^
