(Beat the game) When do you learn of Hedwyn's crimes......?
When do you learn of hedwyn's crimes if you did not initially ask him about it at the beginning of the game?

Even if you don't specifically ask him about it in the opening questions, he should tell you eventually in a wagon converstation, assuming you keep him around long enough for it.

I don't remember exactly when you learn, but he definitely didn't tell me near the beginning of the game, even if you try to ask him about it (he defers/beats around the bush).

I think you have to have both him and Pamitha in the party for quite sometime together, to learn the details. You find-out more near the middle/end of the game, maybe like around the 4th or 5th Liberation Rite.

His crime was consorting with a Harp, who he may have had relations with.

For me he was the first one to tell his crime, so looks like it depends on your conversations / choice of places to go (or simply RNG).

I beat the game, i know his backstory :) I meant, when do you learn it if you did not ask him about it at the start?

Exactly this. He'll tell you eventually, provided you keep him around long enough, even if not asked initially.
Even if you ask him right away, you'll miss a nice bit of conversation, should you liberate him first ^_^ (but then, that happens with everyone, really.)

I released him first, and I didn't choose to ask about it when we walked under the stars, so I never learnt anything about his crime from my playthrough. I'm glad I'm spoiled on that, since that gave the ending story some sense.

Since the topic is open and my doubt can be related to its theme, its it even possible to send someone first already knowing what they did? (Without failing the first trial, that is). I'm really getting this feeling its impossible since its too early in the game for any of them to tell you about their stories.

You definetely can! I sent Hedwyn first and already knew his crime.

Oh, you got the event for that before you sent him away, or you mean you already knew it from previous playthroughs? I'm asking because he only confessed it to me after I sent someone first. I'm glad its possible, I wanted to know stuff about everyone before sending them their ways.

He told me like almost instantly after a few Rites. I guess I got lucky.

Was wondering that too. I still have everyone on my team and only have 3 liberation Rites to go and he still hasn't told me the details of his crimes - even though I'm certain I've never skipped a conversation. (I already know his story as I already beat the game once, but still.)

Maybe there are some requirements for it to trigger? Also on my second playthrough and he still hasn't spoken to me about it before the first rite.

I think I just figured out why: you need to conduct a Rite with Hedwyn & Pamitha together to unlock that conversation. Did the trick for me at least!
