Questions about the Game

What is Police Simulator: Patrol Duty?

Police Simulator: Patrol Duty is a simulation game where you take on the role of a police officer. In Loston Bay, a major U.S. city, you combat crime of all kinds, help innocent citizens, and respond to emergency calls. In multiplayer, you and a friend can even keep the city streets safe together!

I don’t know what I’m supposed to do.

The menu (ESC) shows the current mission for your shift. If you have taken an emergency call, you will see information about the emergency on the left of the screen. You can press the hotkey Z for an overview of all your missions.

How do I save my game?

Your game is saved automatically when your shift ends.

Where do I get my equipment?

Once you have accepted your mission, you can pick up the equipment you need to finish it from the armory. Just speak to the officer there.

How do I accept a mission?

If you want to accept a mission, go to your computer at the department. There you can choose from one of three missions.

How do I take an emergency call?

Emergencies are called in at random during your shift. In the menu, you can configure the game so emergency calls are always taken automatically, or you can take them manually. If you don’t take them quickly, they will disappear and only become available again some time later.

My emergency is 90% complete but I don’t know how to finish it.

If you have collected evidence at the scene of an accident or similar emergency, you need to take it to the lab at the department. Doing this will complete the mission.

I’m supposed to issue parking tickets but can’t find all the cars.

Keep an eye out for side streets and parking lots reserved for ambulances. Ordinary cars parking in those lots are also considered offenders.

An emergency call requires me to chase a car, but it won’t pull over when I try to force it to stop.

If a car you are pursuing doesn’t stop, you need to damage it first. You can do so either by shooting at it or ramming it with your own car.

Suspects run away when I try to talk to them.

If suspects run away and you can’t talk to them, try aiming at them with pepper spray or similar equipment. You can talk to them again while aiming at them. If they continue to run, you’ll need to neutralize them with your equipment (pepper spray, taser, or similar) and then call an ambulance.

I keep getting the same missions!

As you complete missions and climb the ranks, you unlock new types of missions, emergency calls, and equipment.

I completed my mission. How do I end my shift?

If your mission is finished and your 8-hour in-game shift is over, you need to head back to the department and sign out of your computer there. If you want to end your shift sooner, you can select “End shift” in the Pause menu to immediately end your current shift mission.

How do I find the operations area?

The operations area is shaded blue on the map and the minimap.

How big is the operations area, where does it begin, and where does it end?

The size of the operations area can vary. Its beginning and end is indicated by the blue area on the map. Usually, the operations area covers an entire precinct.

How do I load/save a game?
