Game will not load for me, "Unable to find VL Gothic font."

The file should have been downloaded from Steam. You should right click on the SotD Game in your library and select "Properties."

From here you should see a tab called "Local Files" where you can click on "Verify Integrity of Game Cache." That should sync with steam and make sure that you downloaded all the necessary files.

If that doesn't work, you should browse the local file directory and make sure you have a folder called "font". This folder should have the VL Gothic font files in it.

I did all that, found the files in the font folder. I installed and deleted and reinstalled the game a couple times. Same issue everytime. I also deleted the Font folder and then verified the integrity of the game cashe. Still doesn't work. The game shouldn't have all these loop holes in order to play it.

I have had an issue like this before with fonts in another RPG.

If you double click on the ttf files in the font folder you can install them to your computer's globally available fonts. This may help.

What version of windows are you running?

With Windows 10 it may be a firewall issue. The issue was that the Windows-Firewall has to be activated so Windows can install or open fonts who are not already in the Windows fonts file.

Try turning off windows fire wall and install the fonts again. Then turn it back on and you should be good to go.

My firewall isn't the issue but I tested it and still no avail. I'm requesting a refund.

Do you have Rpg Maker Vx Ace RTP installed? If not try installing it.

Why should I have to install another program to play a program? Why can't the game just work?
