Look at the announcement to play it, WHAT CHANGES?!

It is mostly...normal but it changes some of the text, scenes, characters and scenarios (on certain interactions) of the normal game. Honestly as an April Fools Day joke it got me to playing through it and beat it.

I still hate the slaughterhouse level...but enough about me. If you want to play through the game again and record your interactions I recommend it. IT IS GREAT! It isn't terrible for an April Fools Joke and it lets you play as a evil spirit hunter. I mean you slay one million foes, isn't that COOL?!

Considering that the intro lets you know this is a "bootleg" tape, i think the joke is that its supposed to be a reference to the 4kids era of anime, making changes to both text and images to make it more appropiate for kids.

I played through a good amount of it, They actually barely change anything. It is fundamentally the same game, as Repulsum mentioned, it is a reference to how some animes changed their text and script in the dub in order to make it more kid friendly... or sometimes even a parody of themselves. Samurai Pizza Cats, when dubbed into English had so much changed about what the characters were saying that the plots actually changed entirely.

One small detail I noticed is that during Dragon Tape / Muscle Goro's Tape, Muscle Goro / Fifteen is actually wearing a different outfit -- he's wearing the *Null Uniform* we see in the ending's flashback, similar to what Headhunter wears.
Maybe a cryptic hint at the DLC or something?
Or just a neat detail, though remaking all of his animations with that in mind seems like too much work for something I didn't even notice until rewatching recordings of my playthrough
