Game like katana zero?

hi,just finished the game,it was one of my favorites ever(especially the story) and i searched for a similar game but i couldn't find,anyways thx to everyone helping

Inside, Dead Cells and DERE EVIL .EXE are my all time favorites!
but if you have already played those you also can try:
Hollow Knight, Kingdom: New Lands, Kio's Adventure, The Binding of Isaac, Fez, Shovel Knight, Gris, TowerFall, Ori and the Blind Forest, Into the Breach...

Can't comment on the gameplay of "The Last Night". But the gameplay of Katana zero was terrible, so there is that.
Yes the story of Katana zero is intriguing, but albeit too short and killing the gameplay in the process :c

Only flaw is "The Last Night" might never be released, get big delay or go epic exlusive, if bad stuff happening :c

You can still keep it in the wishlist and be happy, if a new gorgeous 2.5D pixel art game releases.
I think the game is worth getting for story / pixel art alone :D
Big plus "lorn" did the soundtrack OST.

Soundtrack of "Katana Zero" is also inferior in that sense ...

@Karma Shovel knight is very good recomendation. That quadruple game never dissapoints!

Shovel knight is basically 4 games for the price of 1. 4 episodes with different protagonists!
Shovel knight is also superior to "katana zero". Since gameplay is top notch. You get 4 different stories and pixel art is cute ( on some platforms you can even play it in stereo 3D).
In stereo 3D even though it is only "8 bit" graphics it looks vastly superior to "katana zeros" art style. There you have several layers and cool cutscenes :D

pixel shinobi is basically katana zero but in feudel japan instead of cyber punk japan

gameplay wise its very simular to katana zero but, it puts more Emphasis on stealth than katana zero.
it also has craftable iteams wich are finite.

I just stumbled across it, and it's a gem of a game.

Sorry to be a little late for this, but Bleed and Bleed2 might be the closest gaming experience to this game that I have. Even if the ambiance, the story and the gorey fast-paced killings are undoubtly inspired from Hotline Miami, there are a lot of features that this game has in common with Bleed :

• Keybord to move, mouse to aim&shot
  
• Fast-paced
  
• Bullet time
  
• Bullet-deflecting katana
  
• ...

These games are sadly short, but they definitly deserve a try, particularly if you enjoyed the Katana Zero gameplay!
